Here’s how to get that farmhouse look with grocery store tulip stems!

How to Create a Tulip Arrangement with a Farmhouse Look

If you don’t want to use greenery, you will need:

  • Bunch of tulips
  • Vase
  • Jute string

Steps:

  1. Take each tulip and remove the foliage by gently peeling away the bottom leaves. Remember to keep stems clean under the water line!
  2. Arrange tulips like a small posy bouquet.
  3. Tie with jute or any other soft string.
  4. Place in a vase, that’s it!

If you want to use greenery, you will need:

  • Bunch of tulips
  • Vase
  • Greenery
  • Filler Flowers
  1. Start with crisscrossing greenery stems to create a base, no need for tape, floral foam or chicken wire here! Remember to keep stems clean under the water line!
  2. Take each tulip and remove the foliage by gently peeling away the bottom leaves.
  3. Arrange tulips in a back-and-forth fashion while placing the taller stems in the middle. What you do on one side, do on the other to balance the arrangement.
  4. If you want, add smaller filler flowers to fill in any gaps. You did it!

*Pro tips to straighten tulip stems*

Score a ½ slit just under the base of the tulip and add a penny to the bottom of your vase. Your stems will go from floppy to straight in no time!
