Here’s how to get that farmhouse look with grocery store tulip stems!
If you don’t want to use greenery, you will need:
- Bunch of tulips
- Vase
- Jute string
Steps:
- Take each tulip and remove the foliage by gently peeling away the bottom leaves. Remember to keep stems clean under the water line!
- Arrange tulips like a small posy bouquet.
- Tie with jute or any other soft string.
- Place in a vase, that’s it!
If you want to use greenery, you will need:
- Bunch of tulips
- Vase
- Greenery
- Filler Flowers
- Start with crisscrossing greenery stems to create a base, no need for tape, floral foam or chicken wire here! Remember to keep stems clean under the water line!
- Take each tulip and remove the foliage by gently peeling away the bottom leaves.
- Arrange tulips in a back-and-forth fashion while placing the taller stems in the middle. What you do on one side, do on the other to balance the arrangement.
- If you want, add smaller filler flowers to fill in any gaps. You did it!
*Pro tips to straighten tulip stems*
Score a ½ slit just under the base of the tulip and add a penny to the bottom of your vase. Your stems will go from floppy to straight in no time!
